Neat holes in cardboard
Suppose you have a piece of cardboard and you want to pass a cord through it. What tool would you use to make a hole? The first ones that come to my mind are: scissors, X-ACTO knife and box cutter.
Let’s have a look at the holes I made with each one.
Sure, the cord will pass through the cardboard, but those are pretty ugly holes. There is a more specialized tool: a hole punch tool. It is also called a Leather Hole Punch Tool, but it can also be used for cloth, canvas and cardboard.
You can see in the above pictures we have a clear winner. When possible, use a hole punch tool for clean holes in your projects.
